Any floor tile can be a wall tile, but a wall tile can't be a floor tile.
Wall tiles are generally thinner and slipperier, making them
inadequate for foot traffic.
If a tile is suitable for the floor, however, it can also be installed
on the wall.
So don't let the term "floor tile" stop you - if you think it's just the
thing for your backsplash, go for it.
